The WATC Gimcrack Stakes is a 1100 metre set weights plus penalties race for two-year-old fillies run by the West Australian Turf Club in March or early April. It is held at Ascot as part of the Perth Autumn Racing Carnival.

The race was first held as a Principal race over 5 furlongs (about 1000 metres) in 1978 when it was run in two divisions. Elegant Shell won one and Priority Road won the other. From 1979 to 2014 it was a Listed race. The race wasn’t held in 1997 as the race was moved from late Spring (November) to autumn (March) of 1998. In 1999 the distance became the current 1100m apart from 2005 when it was held at Belmont Park racecourse over 1200m. It was upgraded to the current Group 3 status from 2015 onwards.
It is a traditional lead-up to the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate over 1200m held two weeks later
